When you access the Abbey business On-line Services for the first time, you must change the Passcode originally given to you, to something of your own choice.

For security reasons, the new codes that you enter must satisfy the following rules:

• The Passcode must be between 8 and 16 alphanumeric characters in length (e.g. 6548november).
• The question and memorable answer can be upto 80 characters.
• Neither code should include repeated characters (e.g. 11111, 1111aaaa).
• Neither code should include sequential characters (e.g. 12345, 1211109876543210).
• The best option is to choose a word that is familiar you may also include numbers. If you think someone may know your username, Passcode or memorable data you should change them immediately, and notify us at once by calling or visiting your local branch or contacting us on 0845 6070 666.

For maximum security you should not write your User Name, Passcode or Memorable Data down as this may compromise the security of your accounts. Never quote your full Passcode to anyone else, not even to Abbey business staff.

For maximum security you should ensure that you:

• Never leave your PC unattended while you are logged on to a secure session.
• Always use the 'log off' button which will make sure your secure session is ended correctly. Disconnecting from the internet will not automatically log you off.
